Organizational Consulting
Services As a specialist
in group dynamics, I have worked with all kinds of groups over the years: work
groups, departments in hospitals and other large organizations, and small business
and nonprofit organizations. Since each situation is different, individually tailored
seminars can be designed for your situation, or a general seminar can be provided.
Strategic Planning: As an outside consultant who won't take sides,
this kind of facilitation can be helpful to your organization. I use a unique
approach in facilitating this planning. Group Facilitation: This
process depends on the needs of your group or organization. Sometimes an outside
skilled facilitator can help if the group is polarized around certain issues.
Healing the Workplace: Improved understanding of self, co-workers and
group dynamics. Themes included are
Values and principles, Comfort
Zone, Fears, Attitudes, Choices, Mind traps, Passive aggressive behavior,
Levels of Personal responsibility, Reacting versus responding, Listening
Speaking clearly, Triangulation, Relating, Conflict resolution, Considering
versus discounting, Understanding teams and groups, Meyers Briggs Personality
Inventory, Customer service Co-Housing Consultant: I was
trained in Senior Co-housing development which covers many aspects of "aging
in place" from the nuts and bolts to the psychological issues we all face
as we age. Neighbornets: As the middle class is disappearing, many
cannot afford to provide a lot of necessary items to ensure a modicum of comfort
and safety during these unpredictable times, whether we are facing higher gas
prices, or are in need of emergency services. Neighbornets are popping up all
over the place. Perhaps your neighborhood is next. Encouragement and written materials
will be provided. No fee for this one, unless your neighborhood group wants a
consultant. Fees for others above on request Appreciation
Cyndy co-facilitated a
Strategy Session for a follow up to a recent community-wide David
Korten presentation in Bellingham. The purpose of this session
was to bring community leaders working for sustainability, social
justice and wisdom community together to experience envisioning
and collaborating in an interactive workshop setting. Though the
scope of this endeavor was expansive and diverse, there was a
palpable energy and excitement generated by the processes Cyndy
brought to this session. The small group reports were rich with
ideas and possibilities for synchronizing and calibrating community
projects. There was a desire expressed to follow up this follow
up. It was a big step forward for community building in Bellingham.
