  • Gestalt Training for Helping Professionals: This seminar provides didactic as well as experiential learning opportunities. Some of the themes covered will be: the contact boundary, a fluid concept of the self, the paradoxical theory of change, use of body language, the breath, the creative void, dream work and others. Seminar will involve a 3 hour introductory session, plus 5-10 sessions, depending on needs of group.
  • Personal Growth Workshops: Day-long sessions (6 hours) to explore personal issues in a supportive group setting.
  • About Relationships: A unique framework will be presented that has been helpful to many in all kinds of relationships over the years from couples to parent/child, boss/employee, friendships, etc. Open to counselors as well as others. Three hour session.
  • Navigating These Unpredictable Times: The relative stability most of us have known since WWII is showing serious signs of collapsing. We can't count on life now as we once could. Many of us are anxious and depressed, and many of us are in denial. We will explore a variety of psychological and consciousness processes that can help us handle these deep concerns in a supportive group environment. Four hour session.
  • Being Single: More and more people live alone for a variety of different reasons. In many circles there is a stigma attached to being single. We will explore the many faces of this issue together from the personal as well as the cultural point of view. Group could continue afterwards as a support group for those interested. Three hour session.

    Appreciations

CYNDY SHELDON has been a pioneer and teacher in the field of Gestalt training and therapy. As the co-founder of the original Gestalt Institute of San Francisco, she is committed to the Gestalt way of living and working. I have known her in several capacities and the one that stands out is her role as a mentor and teacher for those of us who were new in the field. She is gifted and talented!

CYNDY SHELDON is an unusually effective and inventive Gestalt therapist. If you have the opportunity to work with her, don't miss it! I have been a friend and colleague of hers for many years and always felt her to be a superb practitioner of the Gestalt method.
